Destined Love, Again (運命の恋、ふたたび Unmei no koi, futatabi) is the first chapter of the manga sequel Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Aqua.
Summary[]
Lukia saves a boy she saw on the beach preventing him from drowning. The next day, she transfers at her new school, where she happens to meet that boy, but he does not remember her.

Lukia is looking outside of her new house window at the sea. Lukia mentions that her 17th birthday is tomorrow and introduces her parents, Lucia Nanami and Kaito Dōmoto. They are sitting on the sofa when Lucia wakes up realizing Lukia is gone.
Lukia felt like the sea was calling her, so she went on a walk by the beach, where she spots a beautiful surfer. She decides to watch him for a little when suddenly a big wave approaches and makes him drown. Lukia remembers an advice she was given: that she should never go to the sea no matter the situation. She ignores it and jumps into the sea to save the boy. She gets him out successfully, wishing that he's not hurt. Lukia kisses the surfer who eventually wakes up.
The next day Rukia, at her new school, wonders why she had her first kiss. A girl runs to her and welcomes her happily. The two girls say their names to one another and Sango tells Lukia that she can always ask her if she didn't understand something in class. She introduces to her the White and the Black princes of the school, named Shirahama and Kurosuna. Sango says they're cool and they're always together. Rukia realizes that Kurosuna is the surfer she saved, so she thanks him for yesterday and says she's glad to see that he's feeling better. He asks who she is, she asks him if he doesn't remember her but he doesn't. He then says that she's greedy. Sango then explains to Rukia that this is how Kurosuna is: he's good at school subjects, he can play every sport, but he has the worst personality.
After school, Rukia decides to follow him after Sango tells her that he's a member of the books club. Kurosuna notices Lukia spying him behind a bookshelf and stops her before she can run away. She takes a look at the book he was reading, she asks if that's a perv book but he tells her it's a mermaid book, and that he's researching about mermaids because he was saved by one in the ocean. Rukia is confused because she's the one who saved him and she is not a mermaid. She tells him there's no such things as mermaids, and he's childish for a high schooler. Lukia takes the book from him but he pushes her to the wall, demanding it back. He's about to kiss her but he gets the book instead, saying that he wouldn't kiss anyone unless that person is a mermaid, and leaves Lukia feeling embarrassed.
At night, when Lukia returns home, Lucia and her two friends, Hanon and Rina, surprise her with a birthday party, but she claims that she is not in the mood. The three girls give her some presents, but Lucia tells her that, before opening them, there's an important story she should tell her. She tells her that seven mermaid princesses used to protect the seven seas and fight many enemies before her birth, but now the sea is stormy again. Rukia asks her mom what is she talking about and Lucia, Hanon and Rina jump into the water. They reveal to Lukia that they are mermaids to her surprise. Lucia tells Rukia that she inherited mermaid blood. Then, she reveals to her daughter that she's betrothed to someone.
