A Mermaid's Jealousy (人魚の嫉妬 Māmeido no Jerashī) is the seventh episode of Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch.
Plot[]
When Lucia hears a rumor that Kaito is dating an older girl, she sets out to investigate. Elsewhere, a beautiful emerald found in the ruins of Rina's kingdom becomes the star attraction of a cruise liner gallery, and Eriru attempts to steal it to lure the mermaid princesses to her.
Summary[]
Lucia and her classmates are having an English class. Lucia notices that Kaito is sleeping rather not paying attention. At the end of the class, Lucia approaches him and starts a conversation which ends by him. Hanon then tells Lucia she saw him walking along with a pretty girl that was older than him. Some of their classmates claim they also witnessed these two and Lucia starts worrying.
At night in the hotel, Lucia is having a bath. Hippo joins Lucia in the bathroom by filling a basin with water while Lucia is telling him the sad news which Hippo finds exciting. It didn't take long for Lucia to realize Hippo joined her in the bathroom. She beated him up for the two scandals he made. He explains the legend of mermaid for one more time. He eventually helps her solve the problem with Kaito. He comes up with the idea of asking Taki-san to predict the future. Taki-san predicts the love will be lifelong but she tries the method of using some of Hippo's hair and eventually a sea disaster will hapen. Later, Hippo says he will help Lucia investigate this case by spying him.
Meanwhile in Gaito's castle, Eriru is thinking of a way to capture the mermaid Princesses. Gaito observes her and gives her a hand to capture them. He starts bragging about the Mermaid Eye and try to steal it from the cruise it will be shown which makes Gaito happy.
The next day, Hippo and Lucia have gone on spying Kaito. They follow Kaito to the park. When he arrives, he finally meets with the girl from the gossips. However, they found out it;s not him but a guy similar to Kaito which drives Lucia mad and quits. They then have a walk and start talking about Lucia's feelings. They stop next to a surfing shop. The real Kaito with the real girl from the rumours get out of the shop. kaito waves at Lucia but she thinks it's just her fantasy. It didn't take her long to realize he was behind her. Ayaka asks who's the blonde girl and Kaito claims she's just his classmate. She takes Kaito away from Lucia. Ayaka and Kaito spend time practising on the beach and asking Kaito about his love life. However, Lucia and Hippo keep stalking them. Hippo is disturbed by some girls that start touching him. Ayaka, while practising, she noticed Lucia stalking her and Kaito. Ayaka accidentaly "falls" on Kaito to make Lucia sad. Lucia decided to leave and gets Hippo with her and throwing him to the sky. In the evening, Ayaka thanks Kaito for his help and gives him 2 tickets for the "Mermaid's Eye" festival to invite Lucia as well.
At night at the hotel, Hann, Hippo and Lucia are having a conversation for the same thing again. Hanon advices Lucia to snatch him away but Lucia says she can;t do that.
The next day at school, Kaito aprroaches Lucia and gives her one of the ticket for the tickets he was given by Ayaka yesterday. Lucia inforsms Hanon about the today's news. Hanon thinks it's a good chance to see if he has a grifriend.
The day of the festival arrived. Kaito and Lucia give the tickets to the receptionist. They go ahead and meet Ayaka, Ayaka tells Lucia to get out of her way because she has a date with him. Kaito tries to explain Lucia that he doesn't lnow anything about a date. Lucia leaves. Meanwhile, Rina is on the gallery where the Eye was displayed. She eventually jumped in conclusions it was the one from her kingdom. She remembers the day her kingdom was destroyed. Eriru is standing behind and thinks the positives about stealing the Mermaid Eye. Lucia is sitting outside of the board thinking about the today's event. Suddenly, all lights are turned off. Eriru then steals the Eye and passes through the guards. Next, Lucia and Rina follow her by jumping onto the water. Rina commands Eriru to give her her gem back but she refuses. Lucia also arrives and Rina explains her about the Mermaid Eye. Both transform into idols and sing Legend of Mermaid, but not for long. Eriru activates the clams and makes the two princesses to stop singing. Thankfully, Hanon arrives and saves the day. She transforms into idol and all together sing Legend of Mermaid for one more time. Eriru escapes but without the Mermaid Eye. Lucia asks Rina if she's gonna go get the gem. But she says that the Mermaid Eye will watch over them from the sea, even if its lost. At last, Kaito stops Ayaka and tells her she doesn't like her attitude. He reveals he already likes a girl and starts describing her. Lucia is watching them from the sea. Ayaka gets mad and slaps Kaito.
The next day at school, Kaito approaches Lucia and apologizes about the events of the previous day. Lucia says it's fine and asks him what he can see in her eyes. He claims he can see himself only.
