Yuri and Hippo are a couple that appears in Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch and a bit in Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure. They also appear in the manga.
History[]
Yuri and Hippo first met in episode 25 when Hippo couldn't leave her and wrapped her cut foot with a piece of cloth.
In Episode 42, Hippo had to break up with Yuri because of his duty which was to protect the mermaid princesses.
In Episode 70, Yuri returned for a day along with the Dark Lovers. She also had a brief reunion with Hippo.
In Episode 91, Yuri and Hippo sang Legend of Mermaid along with many other characters of the anime.
