Rina and Masahiro
Rina Toin and Masahiro Hamasaki are a romantic couple in the anime and manga of Mermaid Melody.

Rina and Masahiro first met in episode 56, when Rina was reading a letter sent from her kingdom and Masahiro saw her crying. Masahiro would often invite her to many of his boxing matches, and he tended to give Rina rides on his motorcycle towards wherever she needed to go, especially at urgent times. Rina struggled with her emotions towards him at first. At one point, she even angrily told Masahiro that he somehow brings out her feminine side, which Rina despised. Later on however, after Rina saved Masahiro from a dangerous fall into the sea, the two would finally confess their feelings, and they kissed in episode 82.
